"Pretty much everything about this Siemens coffee machine screams high-end quality"
The Siemens TE503201RW EQ5 (and inhale…) is one of Siemens’ high-end, stand-alone coffee machines and as such is only slightly different to the existing models.
However, its brushed metal finish ensures an understated look (compare the Siemens TE506209RW for contrast) and it is slightly cheaper than its coffee maker companions.
The Siemens TE503201RW bean-to-cup comes with a nice and sizable 1.7L water tank, a noise suppressor, adjustable grind settings for more variety and a lot more nifty little features.
Among the latter is an automatic rinsing programme, as well as descaling and cleaning equivalents, which is immensely helpful for users who have large kitchens and want to save time when cleaning it.
Pretty much everything about this Siemens coffee machine screams high-end quality: from the futuristic LCD display that notifies users when the bean container or water tank is running low to the directWhirl milk frother, all parts function well and feel solidly installed.
Some people might balk at the fact that the Siemens TE503201RW EQ5 does not look as classical as some of the Gaggia or Lavazza models out there, and they’d be right – but a versatile, quality coffee machine with reliable features (temperature and milk froth, for example, are very consistent) such as this should not be judged on appearance alone.
This is definitely at the steep end of the coffee machine market price range, but every pound is spent on an all-round coffee maker that does filter coffee just as well as espresso-based drinks. The Siemens TE503201RW EQ5 might not look as snazzy as some espresso machines out there, but that’s a very, very minor quibble.
