DeLonghi ESAM4000B Magnifica

This bean to cup espresso machine might not be the most stylish one on the market, but it’s reliable and sturdy. The DeLonghi ESAM4000B is not very different from its predecessor, the DeLonghi ESAM 4200. In fact, they look almost identical, but there are a few notable differences.

It’s a tad more expensive, but unlike the DeLonghi ESAM 4200, the bean grinder is a dream. With various settings and low noise levels (if it’s possible to call the sound of grinding beans low)  you can grind away to your heart’s desire without having to invest in earplugs. If you’re in a rush or just too plain lazy to grind your beans then you’re in luck, this coffee machine works wonders with preground coffee as well.

But most importantly, it makes a killer espresso, full-bodied and fragrant, the coffee it produces is like silk on your tongue. What we love about the DeLonghi ESAM range is that you can adjust the temperature of the coffee to suit you, having it just as hot or cold as you like it.

The ESAM4000B’s one setback is probably the milk frother. If you want to make a decent cappuccino it could fail you slightly. Although there are variable steam settings, it doesn’t seem to quite do the job for that perfect frothy cappuccino.

It might not be very elegant but it looks and feels professional, giving your kitchen a gourmet feel you can be proud of.

The DeLonghi ESAM coffee machines are usually very easy to use and much previous knowledge of coffee machines isn’t necessary. This is definitely true for the ESAM4000B as its buttons aren’t complicated to figure out. We only wish it had an electronic display.
